About Roots of Care
Roots of Care is a faith-based, Christ-centered nonprofit organization that emerged organically from recognizing a critical need in our community. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive wrap-around support and care to children in crisis and the families who love and care for them. Our mission is rooted in compassion, community connection, and the belief that every child deserves to feel supported and valued during their foster care journey.
We serve foster families through multiple programs and initiatives designed to meet both physical and emotional needs. From our donation-based foster closet that provides essential items for children entering care, to our monthly meal night gatherings that foster community and connection, we work tirelessly to ensure that foster families have access to the resources and support they need. We also provide welcome baskets to new placements, sponsor our Joy of Christmas wish tree, assist with Easter baskets and birthday celebrations, and maintain a dedicated support group for foster and adoptive mothers.
Our Services
Foster Closet & Welcome Baskets
Our donation-based foster closet provides essential physical items for children entering foster care, while welcome baskets are delivered to homes accepting new placements, ensuring children feel welcomed and cared for from day one.
Community Connection & Support Groups
We host monthly meal night gatherings where foster families connect and children realize they are not alone on their journey. We also facilitate a dedicated foster and adoptive mom support group to provide emotional support and community.
Holiday & Celebration Assistance
We sponsor the Joy of Christmas wish tree to ensure all children and families have what they need for the holidays. We also help cover Easter baskets, birthday parties, and respond to prayer requests to celebrate important moments with foster families.
